Frequently Asked Questions

[Here are some useful things to know; some do’s and don’ts if you will.]

Question: “Is your Content Free?”

Answer: Free to access content I offer is only free for your personal use (please do consider supporting nonetheless). You may distribute it, but you must link to and/or clearly mention the creator (…by ForkTheWire). Also implying that you do not have any right to sell my work; with the only exclusion being an agreement between us, not a decision made by you alone. My “pay to access” content however, is for you and you only. You may promote it and discuss it, but do not share the product itself!
Lastly, every piece of my work has a small discrete watermark, or other mark; you should not attempt to remove it.

Question: “Do you give permission for you content to be used for AI model training?”

Answer: No, I do not permit my content to be used for AI model training.
Although I’ve used quite a few models myself for experimentation and education, I find it more honest and ethical to use your own material for such purposes. Even if it delays the results you’re hoping for.
If a model has been trained on stolen content, whatever it creates should become public domain and have no economic value. If the generated content though looks a lot alike someone’s work (plagiarism), the copyright holders of said work should have a say then.
I do understand that with new technologies and especially with the ease of their accessibility, comes a lot of excitement. But, the more maturely we aim to handle these things, the more positive impact we’ll all enjoy. Be ethical and be honest!

Question: “Do you sell physical goods?”

Answer: Currently no, as there is little to no demand to justify the expenses of that kind of service. I downscale nearly all images I offer on the site, so you can also expect better quality and larger prints if I ever offer that option.
